Shutters on the Banks, located at mile post 8.5 in the Outer Banks, has 86 well-appointed rooms and efficiencies in a variety of styles and scenic views. All of our rooms feature distinct wooden shutters so you can get the most of the oceanfront views. We are also centrally located in Kill Devil Hills within walking distance of quite a few restaurants and gift shops.

The Sunrise Suite
The Sunrise Suite is comprised of 2 full rooms and offers an array of amenities including a king bed, living room with sleeper sofa, a workspace with a desk, private balcony, full bath with a full body massage shower and jetted garden tub, powder room, 2 flat screen T.V.s and more. This Suite can only be reserved directly through the hotel by calling reservations.

These poolside suites provide ample space with 1 ½ rooms. The suites include a king bed, living room with sleeper sofa, workspace with a desk, 2 flat screen T.V.s, fridge and more.

Located in our Tower Building our ocean view rooms feature 2 queen size beds, refrigerator, flat screen T.V., cable with HBO, clock radio, coffee maker, hair dryer, free WIFI, and private balcony.
Dune View Rooms:
Tower Building
Offering views of the sea oat covered sand dunes these rooms feature 2 queen size beds, refrigerator, flat screen T.V., cable with HBO, clock radio, coffee maker, hair dryer, free WIFI, and patio.
Standard Rooms:
Main Building
2 queen size beds, refrigerator, flat screen T.V., cable with HBO, clock radio, coffee maker, hair dryer, and free WIFI. These rooms have a pool or parking area view.
Efficiency Rooms:
Main Building
2 queen size beds with adjoining full kitchen, flat screen T.V., cable with HBO, clock radio, coffee maker, hair dryer, and free WIFI only steps away from the sand.
Accessible Rooms
2 Queen, w/Roll In Shower Main Building -Handicap accessible room with a roll in shower, 2 queen size beds in our main building with a parking lot view. Room includes mini-refrigerator, phone, flat screen T.V., cable with HBO, clock radio, coffee maker, hair dryer and free WIFI only steps away from the sand. Room located in main building first floor with no elevator access. No private balcony.

Cancellations will be accepted via phone, fax or e-mail, and must be received 72 hours prior to the arrival date. Cancellations with less than 72 hours notice will be charged for one full night.
